John Morris, K7RLD announced that RCR will hold elections this year. It’s been a few years due to the pandemic, but it’s time that we comply with State law regarding elections as a 501c3 corporation.
The call for nominations has been made. All current officers will appear as nominees for the office they are holding, and additional names are invited. John notes that several of the officers have been in those positions for many years and would probably appreciate a break.
There are five elected officers:
- President
- Vice President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Officer at Large
The job descriptions for each are available by request to John, but he states, “The officer titles are pretty much self explanatory.” If you are interested in putting your name in the hat, or if you have suggestions for others to fill these roles, you can bring those names with you to the October meeting on October 19th. You can submit those names to the current RCR President, John Morris. You can find his email address in the latest newsletter.
Elections will be held at the November General Meeting (November 16), with the results announced at the December General Meeting (December 21). The newly elected officers will take their positions in January 2025.
