Welcome to Field Day RCR-Style. This post will let all RCR Field Day participants know what to expect as far as food and drinks. The Hospitality Team looks forward to seeing you all out there.
On Friday (21 June 2024) the antenna crew and others will be out doing their thing getting the initial infrastructure set up. The Hospitality Team will ensure there is a supply of bottled water to keep everyone hydrated, but other than that there are no other hospitality services on Friday.
Check the table below for hospitality options on Saturday and Sunday.
Meal | Day | Time | Hospitality Services Available |
---|---|---|---|
Breakfast | Saturday | 0800 | Donut holes, cut fruit, coffee, and juice. |
Lunch | Saturday | All participants are on their own for lunch on Saturday, however there are rumors that some folks will be heading to a nearby Jersey Mike’s for a sandwich run. Check with Bren or Mark if you’d like more information. See below for items available all day. | |
Dinner | Saturday | 1730 | The Club is providing hamburgers and hotdogs, with salad and fixin’s for dinner. You don’t need to bring anything except your appetite, that is unless you want something other than hamburgers and dogs. Bring your own grillable if you choose. Brenda has still promised us some of her Famous Homemade Cookies™ for dessert. This should be a good time for all. |
Breakfast | Sunday | 0800 | Sweet rolls, leftover donut holes and fruit, coffee, and juice. |
Lunch | Sunday | Field Day operation period ends at 1100 and teardown begins. Participants are on their own for lunch, but there may be leftover salads and such from prior meals. These will be fair game for anyone who’s hungry. | |
All Day | Both Days | RCR will provide bottled water and a variety of sodas on ice. If you have a specific soda flavor you prefer, bring it along. Remember if you put it in the community ice chest you are offering it to share. |
Radio Club of Redmond will not be providing any “Adult” beverages during Field Day. Participants are welcome to bring their own libations if they choose. RCR encourages participants to partake in moderation so they and everyone else may enjoy the day.
