Where is Field Day 2026?

We’ve gone on and on about what to bring and why Field Day is important, but the one question we haven’t answered publicly is, “Where do I go for Field Day?” Well, it’s time to answer that question.

The Address

King County’s Marymoor Park
The Velodrome Picnic Shelter

Getting there

Knowing the address is great, but getting there is what’s important. We have two suggestions for finding the Field Day site. You can use Google Maps or Apple Maps, or whatever mapping app you choose, or perhaps try out What3Words.

What3Words

What3Words is an interesting location service. They have divided the globe into squares 3 meters (roughly 10 feet) on a side. Every square is given a unique set of three words. If you know the right three words, you can find any location on Earth to within just a few feet. As they describe on their website…

Street addresses aren’t accurate enough to specify precise locations, such as building entrances, and don’t exist for parks and many rural areas.
This makes it hard to find places and prevents people from describing exactly where help is needed in an emergency.

Using What3Word, you can find the Field Day site using this location key: ///define.congratulations.foam, or we’ve made that clickable so you get there directly.

Google Maps

I guess I shouldn’t assume, but I’m hopeful that most of us know how to use Google Maps by now, so here you go.

Driving Instructions and Parking

You can enter Marymoor park from the West or the East. Stay on the central cross-park road until you get to the Velodrome area. There is plenty of parking in the nearby lot.

All vehicles in the park must pay for parking. The fee is $1, and can be paid at the kiosk near the restrooms, or at any other parking kiosk around the park. Vehicles who don’t have or have lost their ticket will be required to pay the $1 upon leaving the park.

More Information

This is a very busy park, and not everyone will be there for our Field Day activities. Please respect the other people enjoying the park. If someone asks about our activities, invite them to come and check things out. Perhaps you will be introducing them to a new interest.

If you get lost, we will be listening on the WWDXC repeater (W7DX) on 147.000 MHz, FM-Wide, minus offset, with a tone of 103.5 Hz.
