What should I bring to Field Day in 2026?

Field Day ’26 is June 27, 2026. Mark your calendars.

We’re glad you’re coming to Field Day. To make your day more enjoyable, we recommend you bring along some personal items for your comfort and convenience. Dress for the weather. It can be quite warm during the day, and cool off towards evening.

Each person should have:

  • Your FIeld Day shirts and hats. If you haven’t ordered these yet, there still might be time. Check out the ARRL Field Day Store and get your order in SOON.
  • A sun hat, if you dont’ have a Field Day hat.
  • Sunglasses.
  • Sunscreen.
  • Bug repellent.
  • A light sweater. Just in case it gets chilly.
  • A folding camp chair. Seating can be limited so having your own chair ensures you will have a place to sit.
  • A water bottle. Bottled water will be available onsite, but a personal water bottle will help keep straight who’s bottle is who’s.
  • Any other beverages for your personal use. The park does not allow you to bring outside alcoholic beverages, so please leave those at home. We will have limited ice chest space available, so please plan to keep your beverages cold on your own.

For licensed operators:

  • Bring a 2m HT. It’s fun to have an HT handy, just in case you want to wander around the park and see what else is going on. We will be monitoring the W7DX (147.000 MHz/-/103.5 Hz) repeater, so reach out to us and let us know what you find.

Meals

Everyone should plan to find their own food for breakfast. There will be no breakfast provided for Field Day 2026. For lunch, we will have a small supply of pre-made Subway sandwiches available, however we encourage visitors to visit one of the nearby food establishments. There is a Chipotle and many other fine restaurants very close to the park.

Dinner will be pizza, available to those operators still at the site, and those who are committed to staying through the cleanup process after operations close for the evening.

If you have been to other similar events and have suggestions for other items people should bring, please leave a comment below.
